Service that starts and stays

At Exilux, end to end service means staying involved from the earliest planning stages through to long-term support. It is not just about supplying the right products. It is about working with you at every point to keep things moving safely, compliantly and without disruption.

Whether you are planning a new build, managing a refurbishment or upgrading part of an existing system, we provide clear guidance, technical accuracy and reliable service throughout. From early design input to post-installation care, our focus is on getting it right and keeping it right.

Aligned to your process

Most projects follow a structured path. That is why we have aligned our service with the RIBA Plan of Work. This recognised framework helps architects, consultants and end clients plan the full life of a building project.

While not every scheme follows it exactly, the structure provides a useful reference point. We use it to show how and when Exilux can support your work across each stage. From early advice on system options to design input, delivery support and ongoing maintenance, our role is to fit into your process and keep things moving.

We do not take control away from design teams. Instead, we work alongside them, providing the clarity, coordination and technical knowledge needed to make decisions easier and outcomes more reliable.

How we work – stages

We keep you informed of changes to regulations, system requirements and best practice., through CPD seminars and direct updates where needed. By starting each project with a clear view of compliance and design options, you can plan with confidence.

We begin by listening. Discovery sessions help us understand your priorities, whether that’s system performance, visual appearance, maintenance, budget or layout. Our Technical Sales Support team highlights practical routes that align with your goals. You stay in control while we offer guidance shaped by real experience.

At concept stage, we provide advice on suitable system types, light levels, product ranges and maintenance planning. Every recommendation is made with the building type, its users and its function in mind. If helpful, we can supply outline calculations, sketches or draft wording to support the early stages of design.

We help translate intent into defined outputs. This might include light levels, emergency durations, switching requirements or integration with control systems. We also flag any issues with ceilings, containment or other services, helping to reduce rework further down the line.

Here, we provide the detail needed to take designs forward. That includes luminaire schedules, mounting requirements, accessories and control options. We support contractors with technical queries and make sure nothing is missed at specification stage. If budgets shift, we’ll suggest practical alternatives that still meet the brief. We also help set up trade accounts where needed, keeping procurement simple.

We deliver fully assembled systems ready for installation. Account Managers and Service Engineers stay in close contact with your site team, offering toolbox talks and commissioning support. Behind the scenes, our logistics and customer service teams coordinate stock and delivery schedules to stay aligned with your programme.

We don’t walk away once systems are live. Account Managers provide training for end users where needed, ensuring they feel confident using and maintaining their systems. Manuals, certification and warranty information are available on request and downloadable from our website, so clients have the information they need at hand.

Our relationship continues beyond project completion. Our team remains available for follow-up visits, system checks, additional training and updates. Whether it’s a product replacement or a full compliance review, we help keep your system running as it should throughout its life cycle.

"The team at SVM has tested the market several times and found the Exilux Central Battery Unit to be a strong evolution of previous systems. It meets both client expectations and project requirements. With support from Exilux, our engineers have successfully developed and commissioned multiple systems. Their technical input, especially around third party luminaire compatibility and control options, has been excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending the Exilux CBU."
